mod_lookup_identity retrieves additional information about users authenticated
by the Apache HTTP Server. It queries the SSSD InfoPipe service over D-Bus and
stores user attributes and group membership in request notes or environment
variables for use by web applications.

The module can also map client certificates to user identities through SSSD.
