* virtual_oss in base (link:https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=c457acb4ee821cf015930a94f52c3870786468a7[release notes update]).
* man:snd_hda[4] automatic sound redirection (link:https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=2ffaca551eaf32c17f701762ecf29a961cf19aa4[initial commit]).
* More man:sound[4] cleanups, fixes and improvements.
* More out-of-the-box laptop support.
* Wrote FreeBSD Journal audio article.
* Extended (and still do) `/usr/share/examples/sound`.
* Implemented man:kqueue[2] support for man:sound[4] (link:https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=4181bf9d18166c4061bfa137b8a46972a5a55f67[commit]).
* Several MIDI code rewrites, fixes, and cleanups.
